bogacare® DERMA-REPAIR is ideal as a regeneration cream. The scientifically well-documented ingredients comfrey/wallwort and sage promote the regeneration of stressed skin and have a soothing effect on minor swellings. The cream is therefore used for minor superficial skin injuries, calluses, swelling, etc.

Skin and coat care
Skin and coat care for dogs is a lot more demanding than you might think. The anatomical differences between individual dog breeds are huge - and the same applies to skin and coat. If you compare a Newfoundland with a Chihuahua, for example, the differences are quickly apparent. The Newfoundland: large with relatively thick skin, long top coat and dense undercoat. The Chihuahua: small with rather thin and sensitive skin as well as a fine top coat and almost no undercoat.

The skin structure of our dogs
In addition to the lack of sweat glands, another significant difference to human skin is the pH value. Different mammals also have different pH values (see Fig. 2). The average pH value of dog skin is 7.5, i.e. already in the alkaline range, while that of us humans is 5.0 in an acidic environment. It is therefore important to use a shampoo that is tailored to the specific needs of the dog's skin and adjusted to a pH value of approx. 7.0-7.5. This is the only way to maintain the skin's protective hydro-lipid film and actively prevent irritation, even with frequent washing.

Application:

Apply bogacare® DERMA-REPAIR to the affected skin area (including around joints) several times a day as required and massage in gently. At the point of application, the hair should be shortened sufficiently to allow the cream to reach the skin and take effect. Do not apply to bleeding areas of skin.
