Nicole Baltes

Get to know Nicole -

Nicole Baltes comes from the Lower Rhine in Germany and has been working with heart and scissors in the grooming sector for over 30 years. Her career began in 1992 when she became aware of the grooming profession during a school internship. She had previously trained as a retail saleswoman - but she found her true passion in dog grooming.
Nicole discovered her particular enthusiasm for woolly coats and precise finishing cuts with scissors at an early age. Trimming is also one of her strengths - but her true passion is the professional styling of Poodles, Bichons and Bedlington Terriers. Despite this specialisation, she sees herself as a versatile all-rounder.
Since 1997, she has regularly taken part in international grooming competitions with great success - including in the USA, Great Britain, Italy and Spain. Her greatest successes include a first place at the Kennel Expo in Pasadena, victories in Hershey and a second place in the champion class at the MILAN GROOM.
With the arrival of her first large poodle in 2014, her focus increasingly shifted to show grooming - a discipline that requires the utmost precision and a trained eye. Nicole continues to show her second poodle and brings her knowledge from the show world directly into her training work. Nicole gives seminars throughout Europe - especially for poodles and similar breeds - and shares her many years of experience with passion and commitment. Her more than 30 years of professional experience make her one of the most renowned experts in her field.

Evelyne Bischof has been a professional groomer for many years and has extensive experience in dog grooming and groomer training. Together with Nicole Baltes, she forms the centrepiece of our training team and is particularly known for her practical, structured training courses. With a lot of patience, expertise and attention to detail, she accompanies prospective groomers on the way to their dream job. Whether it's a beginner's course, basic training or workshops - with Evelyne, participants benefit from in-depth knowledge, a high level of expertise and genuine commitment.

FAQ - Everything about the quality seal

I am interested in the PERRO quality seal. What basic requirements must I fulfil in order to receive this?

In principle, groomers must have a valid business licence. If you are not a groomer but still have explicit breed experience (breeder), it is also possible to obtain the quality seal.

I fulfil the basic requirements and would like to register to receive the quality seal. How does this work? In which areas can I do further training/education?

We offer the PERRO quality seal for various subject areas. Here is an excerpt from our subject areas:

Thanks to our large pool of experts, we can offer the seal for any breed. Prices for each breed on request.

And how do I get the seal?

Once the training has been successfully completed, you will receive your certificate from PERRO, as well as the PERRO quality seal as an online version and as a sticker. The sticker is adapted in the online version depending on the specialised topic with the subdivision for the respective breed, e.g. Poodle, Schnauzer.

How much does further training cost to obtain the PERRO quality seal?

This depends on the trainer and topics. All training courses for obtaining the quality seal are available on request. We will be happy to send you a non-binding offer for the respective subject area on request at vertrieb@perro.at

When do the training courses take place?

At any time on request, it is usually one-to-one training. Unless group training is required, e.g. all employees of the grooming salon are to be trained. Please indicate this in your enquiry.

How many training courses / specialisations do I have to complete to receive a PERRO quality seal?

You will receive the PERRO quality seal in your specialisation (specialist subject) after just one training course. You can complete the various specialised subjects and thus receive several quality seals according to the subdivision of the respective breed, e.g. Poodle, Schnauzer etc.

Washing seminar with Nicole Baltes:

The basis of every perfect hairstyle? A professionally prepared dog! In this one-day seminar, Nicole Baltes will use practical examples to show you what really matters when washing and blow-drying. You will learn how to correctly assess the grooming condition and use the right products depending on the coat type.

Insight into the groomer's everyday life:

Groomers now have the opportunity to book an insight day with Evelyne or Nicole. On this day, you can look over their shoulders, ask questions and experience their working methods live - without active co-operation. If you wish, they can also schedule specific breeds in advance that you would particularly like to see.

A whole day - one breed
