cdVet dentaVet Gel for dogs and cats combines dental cleaning and oral care in a practical, gel-like form. Which animals is the dental gel suitable for? 

The dentaVet Gel has been developed for dogs and cats and can be used on young, adult and older animals. Its gel-like consistency makes it easy to apply using a pet toothbrush or a piece of gauze, allowing for targeted care of accessible tooth surfaces and the gums.

How does the gel complement regular dental care? 

Plaque can build up over time in dogs and cats too. Regular mechanical cleaning is therefore an important part of oral hygiene. Fine eggshell powder acts as a natural abrasive in the dentaVet gel and, when applied, aids the gentle mechanical cleaning of the tooth surfaces. Zeolite has binding properties and complements the formula to promote a healthy oral cavity. Organic hemp oil and selected essential oils of frankincense, sage, star anise, fennel, thyme and clove round off the care formula. The dental gel contains no artificial flavourings, preservatives, emulsifiers or parabens.

Does dentaVet Gel replace tooth brushing?

For the most thorough cleaning possible, we recommend applying the gel using a suitable pet toothbrush or a piece of gauze. If your pet does not accept a toothbrush, the gel can alternatively be spread evenly over the teeth and gums. Existing hard tartar cannot be removed by a dental care product. Regular dental check-ups at the vet therefore remain important, even with consistent dental care at home. 

How do you use the dental gel?

Apply the gel evenly to the teeth and gums twice a week. A pet toothbrush or a clean gauze pad is particularly suitable for spreading it.

When should your pet’s teeth be checked by a vet? 

Strong bad breath, reddened or bleeding gums, visible tartar, loose teeth, pain when chewing or changes in eating behaviour should be investigated by a vet. dentaVet Gel is a dental care product and is not a substitute for professional dental treatment.
