cdVet Fit-BARF Organic Spirulina is a naturally pure, single-ingredient feed in powder form for dogs and cats. It is suitable for use as an individual supplement to BARF diets and other feeding methods – particularly during periods of increased activity and when there is a higher nutritional requirement.

Spirulina is often referred to as a microalgae, but biologically it belongs to the group known as cyanobacteria. Its soft cell wall allows the naturally occurring nutrients to be readily absorbed through the gut. According to the manufacturer, when metabolised, spirulina can also positively influence alkaline production and thus the acid balance of the stomach. With a protein content of 66.5%, this fine organic powder provides a high proportion of easily digestible protein. It also contains naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids and chlorophyll.

This diverse range of nutrients makes Fit-BARF Organic Spirulina a premium supplement for active dogs and cats, as well as for pet owners who wish to create a targeted, high-quality diet.

Its characteristic blue-green colour comes, amongst other things, from the natural plant pigment phycocyanin. According to the manufacturer, this can support liver and kidney function and neutralise free hydroxyl radicals. As spirulina is not a type of seaweed, it has a relatively low iodine content compared to many traditional seaweed products.

The product consists of 100% organic spirulina from certified organic cultivation – with no other ingredients. This provides your dog or cat with a pure dietary supplement of selected organic quality that can be easily mixed into their daily meal.
