A smaller portion size does not necessarily mean your dog will feel less full. cdVet Fit-BARF SättigungsMix is a powdered feed supplement for dogs that enriches their daily diet with natural fibre. This increases the volume of the food without significantly raising the energy content, and can therefore help promote a longer-lasting feeling of fullness. This allows you to tailor your dog’s diet consciously and according to their needs, particularly in cases of weight issues.

Due to its high swelling capacity, the fibre-rich mixture binds fluid in the stomach and prolongs the time the food remains there. In the gut, the increased volume of the chyme can stimulate natural bowel movements and contribute to a normal stool consistency. At the same time, the dietary fibre contained in the product serves as a food source for gut bacteria and can thus support a healthy gut flora.

The varied recipe includes, amongst other things, linseed cake, carrot and apple pomace, psyllium husks, pumpkin, parsnip and courgette. The mixture is supplemented with grasses, herbs, algae lime, seaweed meal, brewer’s yeast and brewer’s yeast cell walls with MOS. The manufacturer also describes courgettes and pumpkin in relation to metabolism, vitality and the regulation of the acid-base balance.
