cdVet FlohEx SpotOn – a nourishing fragrance oil to mask odours in dogs, horses and rodents

cdVet FlohEx SpotOn for dogs combines a skin-nourishing oil base with selected essential oils.

The formula temporarily masks your dog’s natural scent, thereby making them less attractive to fleas and other pests such as ticks, mites and midges. This economical spot-on treatment can be applied drop by drop and is suitable for dogs aged 3 months and over.

How does FlohEx SpotOn work?

FlohEx SpotOn is a grooming product designed to mask the animal’s natural odour. The scent of the oils it contains is distributed to selected areas of the skin, where it alters the odour profile detectable by pests. The product does not kill fleas and cannot completely prevent contact with parasites. Therefore, particularly in the event of an existing flea infestation, a dog’s bed, blankets, carpets and other areas where the dog spends time should also be thoroughly treated.

What ingredients make up the formula?

Cold-pressed organic black cumin oil, organic coconut oil and jojoba oil form the nourishing base of the spot-on treatment. They spread easily over the skin and help to keep stressed areas of skin supple. Neem oil and selected essential oils of geranium, lavender and manuka give the care oil its characteristic scent.

The concentrated formulation is particularly economical: one drop is equivalent to approximately 50 mg. According to the manufacturer, a 10 ml bottle is usually sufficient for one dog for a season. Actual usage depends on frequency of application and individual needs.

How is FlohEx SpotOn applied?

Over a period of 3 weeks, massage 1 drop daily directly into the skin using a moistened finger. The manufacturer recommends applying the product to the ear flaps or the area between the shoulder blades and at the base of the tail. Following this initial application phase, 1–2 applications per week are usually sufficient.

In areas with a particularly high flea infestation, the frequency can be adjusted in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. According to the manufacturer, the care oil generally remains on the skin even in the rain or when swimming in water. It should be reapplied after washing with shampoo.

Note :
FlohEx SpotOn is a nourishing scented oil and is not a substitute for a diagnosis or targeted treatment of an existing parasite infestation.
