cdVet insektoVet Combi SpotOn for dogs is a long-lasting care oil designed to mask a dog’s natural scent, thereby deterring crawling and flying insects. The concentrated oil formula is applied drop by drop to selected areas of the skin and temporarily masks the dog’s natural scent. This is designed to make your four-legged friend less attractive to ticks, fleas, mites, mosquitoes and other pests.

Which dogs is the Spot-on suitable for?

InsektoVet Combi SpotOn can be used on adult dogs as well as puppies from 3 months of age. The economical drop-by-drop application is particularly suitable if you do not wish to apply a spray over a large area of the coat. The grooming oil is not a medicinal product and cannot completely prevent contact with ticks, fleas or other insects. You should therefore continue to check your dog regularly for parasites, particularly after walks in the woods, through meadows or dense undergrowth.

What are the key ingredients in the formula?

The nourishing base consists of cold-pressed organic black cumin oil, organic coconut oil and jojoba oil. These oils help to keep the skin supple. Neem oil and essential oils of geranium, lavender and manuka give the spot-on its characteristic scent and form the basis of the odour masking. According to the manufacturer, the formulation consists of 100% natural ingredients and is particularly economical due to the small amount required. 10ml is usually sufficient for one season.

How is insektoVet Combi SpotOn used?

Over a period of 3 weeks, massage 1 drop daily directly into the skin using a moistened finger. For dogs, the manufacturer recommends applying it to both ear flaps or between the shoulder blades and at the base of the tail. One drop is equivalent to approx. 50mg. After the initial application phase, 1–2 applications per week are usually sufficient. In areas with a particularly high pest burden, the frequency of application can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis.

Does the care oil remain effective in the rain?

The spot-on treatment is generally waterproof in the rain and whilst swimming. However, it should be reapplied after washing the coat with shampoo.

The insektoVet Combi SpotOn is designed for grooming and odour masking and is not a substitute for targeted parasite treatment.
