Safety instructions:
: Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use. Warning: causes severe eye irritation. Contains 1,8-cineole and citronellol and may cause allergic reactions. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, mouth and teats. Do not inhale the aerosol and do not use the product near food or animal feed. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if possible and continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice. Do not store below 18°C. cdVet ZeckEx Spray – natural tick repellent for dogs and cats

cdVet ZeckEx Spray for dogs and cats is a ready-to-use repellent designed to ward off ticks. The active ingredient, derived from the leaves of the lemon eucalyptus, adheres to the skin and coat after spraying. Its scent is said to deter ticks from biting, thereby reducing the risk of a tick bite whilst out for a walk or when the pet is off the lead. The spray takes effect immediately after application and, according to the manufacturer, provides protection for up to 5 hours. It is therefore particularly suitable for trips to the woods, walks through tall grass and other situations where there is an increased risk of tick contact.

Which animals is ZeckEx suitable for?

The tick repellent spray can be used on dogs and cats aged 4 months and over. The dermatologically tested formula is applied directly to the coat and can be dosed according to the animal’s size. The product must not be used on pregnant or lactating animals, young animals under 4 months of age, or on broken skin.

How does the tick spray work?
Hydrolysed and cyclised lemon eucalyptus oil is used as the repellent active ingredient. This active ingredient temporarily alters the odour of the skin and coat, making the treated animal less attractive to ticks. However, a repellent cannot completely prevent contact with ticks. You should therefore continue to check your dog or cat regularly and thoroughly for ticks – especially after visits to the woods, meadows or undergrowth.

How is cdVet ZeckEx used?

Shake the bottle before use. Spray ZeckEx 1–2 times a day against the direction of the fur and ensure the coat is evenly moistened. Then gently massage the spray into the coat. Do not spray directly onto the face or around the eyes. If necessary, apply a small amount to the coat with your hands whilst they are still damp, taking care to avoid the eyes, mouth and mucous membranes.
