Existing plaque is reduced and the formation of tartar is minimised. Deer ears are very low in fat, so they can also be given to dogs that tend to be overweight.

As deer ears are smaller than the well-known beef or pig ears, they are an ideal alternative chew for smaller dog breeds or puppies.
