Recommended feeding duration: initially up to 6 months to regulate glucose (diabetes mellitus); until the target body weight is reached for reduction of excess weight. Feed the product as is, according to the daily amount indicated in the table. The daily amount indicated in the accompanying table is only a guideline and should be adjusted to achieve the correct body weight. The daily amount may change depending on breed, environment, physical activity, temperament and body condition. The ration may be divided into two or more meals. It is recommended to mix this product first with the previously used feeds. Offer water for free disposal.

The Farmina Vetlife Diabetic veterinary diet has been developed to regulate glucose supply in diabetes mellitus and to reduce excessive body weight.

This specific formula induces an optimal and gradual postprandial glycaemic response and modulates insulin release. The sugar and starch content is reduced to below 2%. This makes the food ideally suited for dogs with diabetes mellitus.

The correct ratio of soluble and insoluble fibre (dietary fibre) helps achieve a feeling of fullness sooner. The low calorie density, due to the low fat content, helps dogs achieve or maintain their ideal body weight. A low glycaemic index is achieved through the use of spelt and oats.
