Feeding recommendation

Note: It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the duration of feeding.

Recommended feeding duration: Initially up to 6 months to regulate glucose supply (diabetes mellitus) and until the target body weight is reached in case of overweight. Feed the product according to the daily amount indicated in the table. The daily amount indicated in the attached table is only a guideline and should be adjusted to achieve the correct body weight. The daily amount may change depending on breed, environment, physical activity, temperament and body condition. The ration may be divided into two or more meals. It is recommended that this product first be mixed with the feed previously used. Offer water for free disposal.

The Farmina Vetlife Diabetic veterinary diet has been developed to regulate glucose levels in cats with diabetes mellitus and to reduce excess body weight.

This specific formula induces an optimal and gradual postprandial glycaemic response and modulates the release of insulin. The amount of sugar and starch is reduced to less than 2 %. This makes the food ideal for cats with diabetes mellitus.

Due to the correct ratio of soluble and insoluble fibres (dietary fibre), the feeling of satiety is reached earlier. The low calorie density due to the low fat value helps to achieve or maintain optimum body weight. A low glycaemic index is achieved through the use of spelt and oats.
