The dry diet food Farmina VetLife - Oxalate reduces the formation of oxalate stones, urate stones and cystine stones.

The urine is alkalised with the help of potassium citrate (alkaline pH). The protein value of the feed is reduced and comes exclusively from eggs and hydrolysed animal proteins, which reduces the formation of cystine and urate crystals. The formation of urates is also achieved by reducing the nucleic acids. A moderate calcium and phosphorus content limits the formation of oxalate stones.
