Feeding recommendation

Note: It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before use or before extending the duration of use.

Recommended feeding duration: 5 - 12 weeks to resolve struvite stones and up to 6 months to reduce struvite stone recurrence. Feed the product according to the daily amount indicated in the table. The daily amount given in the attached table is only a guideline and should be adjusted to achieve the correct body weight. The daily amount may change depending on breed, environment, physical activity, temperament and body condition. The ration may be divided into two or more meals. It is recommended that this product first be mixed with the feed previously used. Offer water for free disposal.

Farmina VetLife - Struvite Cat Adult dry food induces the dissolution of struvite stones in cats and reduces their formation.

Struvite has an acidifying effect due to calcium sulphate. The pH value of the urine is lowered, thus favouring the dissolution of crystals.
A reduced gastric silicon content limits the formation of struvite crystals.
The low calcium and phosphorus content helps to control phosphataemia and thus prevents the formation of urinary stones (uroliths).
The reduced protein content of the chicken/fish-based recipe with rice, maize and oats helps to reduce the urea content in the urine.
