Recommended feeding duration: 5 - 12 weeks to dissolve struvite stones and up to 6 months to reduce struvite stone recurrence. Feed as is, according to the daily amount indicated in the chart. The daily amount indicated in the accompanying table is only a guideline and should be adjusted to achieve the correct body weight. The daily amount may change depending on breed, environment, physical activity, temperament and body condition. The ration may be divided into two or more meals. Farmina VetLife - Struvite dry food induces the dissolution of struvite stones and reduces their formation.

Struvite has an acidifying effect due to calcium sulphate. The pH value of the urine is lowered, thus favouring the dissolution of crystals.
A reduced gastric silicon content limits the formation of struvite stones.
The low calcium and phosphorus content helps to control phosphataemia and thus prevents the formation of urinary stones (uroliths).
The reduced protein content of the chicken/fish-based recipe with rice, sweet potatoes and oats helps to reduce the urea content in the urine.
