Recommended feeding duration: up to 6 months. Feed the product as is, according to the daily amount indicated in the table. Farmina VetLife - Struvite Management dry dietetic food reduces the formation of new struvite stones. It is intended for the prevention of crystal formation in dogs prone to this condition. Acute treatment should be carried out with VetLife Struvite; once the crystals have been successfully dissolved, the dog can be switched to Struvite Management.

Struvite Management has a mild acidifying effect and thus helps to maintain the pH at an optimal level. Glycosaminoglycans strengthen the urinary tract.
The glycosaminoglycan layer acts as a barrier between the urine in the bladder and the deeper tissue layers of the bladder. These glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) bind water, thereby forming a mucous layer on the surface. This prevents bacteria from easily colonising the bladder wall, which significantly reduces the risk of infection.
An adjusted mineral content – particularly of magnesium, phosphorus and calcium – ensures that struvite crystals and other crystals cannot form as easily.
The reduced protein content of the formula, which includes rice, oats and sweet potatoes, helps to lower the urea content in the urine.
