The PAIKKA Cool & Bug Vest protects your dog from overheating in summer through evaporative cooling, reduces mosquito and tick bites thanks to Repeltec, and stands out with its zebra pattern and well-thought-out design.

Size

The size should be chosen according to the normal jacket size of the dog. It does not reach all the way to the base of the tail. The dimensions represent the maximum. The neck and chest strap can be adjusted smaller.

When should a larger size be chosen?

When the vest should reach to the base of the tail. If the dog belongs to a very beefy breed, attention should be paid to the neck circumference, since the vest is pulled over the head. In this case, a larger size may be necessary.

We all love summer, but it also poses dangers, particularly for our dogs. When it’s particularly hot, dogs can overheat. What’s more, mosquitoes and ticks are at their most active at this time of year.

The solution to both problems is the Cool & Bug Vest from Paikka!

The vest’s material absorbs water extremely well, keeping your four-legged friend cool through evaporative cooling – and for a long time too! This can help protect your pet from overheating and prevent dangerous heatstroke.

The zebra-striped pattern isn’t just a visual highlight – studies show that the black-and-white colouring alone is effective against certain mosquitoes.

The Cool & Bug Vest can be easily slipped over a chest harness, as it features a zipped opening for the lead.

How does the jacket’s cooling effect work?

The vest must be soaked in cold water before use. Then simply squeeze out the excess water carefully, and the vest is ready to use.

The cooling vest is particularly easy to use. It is pulled over the dog’s head and fastened under the belly with an adjustable strap featuring a click buckle. The neck area is also adjustable, allowing it to be optimally adapted to the dog’s body.

Safety note:
Heatstroke is a life-threatening medical emergency. Please bear in mind that this product alone is not sufficient to provide protection against it. Dogs should be closely monitored, particularly in warm weather. Similarly, excessive exercise should be avoided in hot weather and dogs should be given plenty to drink.

Washing instructions:
Wash at 30 degrees; do not tumble dry.
