PERRO bone broths - with chicken, lamb or beef - are a tasty addition to your dog's daily diet.

Whether as a topping for dry food, as a treat or as a water additive for dogs that are lazy to drink, the broth isvery well accepted and is very popular with most dogs.

Only the bones of one animal species are used for Perro bone broths(single protein). This means that they are also suitable for dogs with intolerances or allergies to other protein sources.

The bones are boiled with water and carrots to make this tasty food supplement. The fortifying broth is made by boiling bones for at least 12 hours. This makes it particularly rich in nutrients. Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium or iron as well as various fatty acids, vitamins and amino acids are present in the fortifying broths.

Collagen is a particularly useful ingredient. Not only does it have a strengthening effect on cartilage and joints , it also helps to keep the digestive tract healthy by protecting the mucous membranes. This is mainly due to the amino acid glutamine contained in gelatine. This serves as a source of energy for the cells of the intestinal mucosa and supports the normal functioning of the mucous membrane.

As the finished broth contains hardly any fat, it can also be used for weight control. It replaces the flavour carrier fat and thus saves calories. Sports and service dogs as well as pregnant and birthing female dogs also benefit from the positive properties of bone broth. It provides the necessary fluid replacement so that the dogs do not dehydrate and can perform at their best.

How is the bone broth used?
The bone broth can simply be poured over dry food as a topping to improve the flavour and add variety to the food. With home-made rations, you can use it to make the vegetable portion more palatable for the dog, for example. For dogs that drink little, you can also offer the broth diluted with water as a drink supplement . In summer, the broth can be frozen to make a cooling, home-made dog ice cream!
