Pressure sores often develop on parts of the body that are regularly subjected to pressure whilst lying down – such as elbows and heels. cdVet VeaVet Pressure Sore Oil for dogs and cats has been developed to provide intensive care for such heavily stressed, rough or dry areas of skin. The natural oil formula is quickly absorbed, moisturises the skin and, according to the manufacturer, leaves no unsightly greasy film on the floor. 

What is the callus oil suitable for?

The care oil is particularly suitable for hardened and dry patches of skin, such as those commonly found on dogs’ elbows or other pressure points. By applying it specifically to these areas, you can regularly care for the affected areas and help keep the skin soft and supple. Conscious care of stressed skin areas is also beneficial for older or heavier dogs that spend a lot of time lying down. The oil is suitable for dogs and cats of various ages.

Which oils are included?

The formula combines olive oil, evening primrose oil and calendula oil with selected essential oils. The nourishing plant oils supply dry skin with lipids and moisture, leaving it feeling pleasantly soft after application. The callus oil consists of 100% natural ingredients, is free from silicones and parabens, is vegan and is manufactured in Germany. 

How do you use the skincare oil? 

Apply one to two drops directly to the affected area of skin and massage the oil in gently. Thanks to its rich consistency, even a small amount is sufficient for targeted care. 

When should the affected area be examined by a vet? 

VeaVet Callus Oil is a care product and is not a substitute for veterinary treatment. Severely reddened, inflamed, weeping, painful or open areas of skin, as well as any noticeable changes, should be assessed by a vet.
